I love Jessica! I've been training with her since 2011 and as of today I have lost a total of 130lbs and have kept it off for over a year! My weight-loss was a result of hard work and dedication but I could not have done it without the support of my trainer Jessica.

When I started I was around 310lbs, I had just finished paying off my car and was contemplating what I would do with that extra $200 a month I'd have to spend :D Buy new clothes!? Great idea right! Wrong.. why would I buy new clothes when I feel crappy in my own skin already. And being at the size I was shopping was the complete opposite of fun. Yes, Torrid has some great styles to choose from and a woman of any size is beautiful - but I was tired of paying $38 for a cute blouse, knowing that I could find a whole outfit for that amount with my bargain shopping skills, if only I could shop at "normal" stores. So.. I stood on my scale and at that moment I made a decision to either continue to feel the way I felt in my cage of a body OR... DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT! :) which meant, if I want results.. I'm going to have to invest in myself in so many ways - time, dedication and financially.

My sister told me about a co-worker who was doing "semi-private" training and seeing results. Those words were the best words I'd ever heard... why? Semi-private means DEAL! (in this case) I got the name of the trainer my sisters co-worker was working with, gave her a call and Jessica came to my apt to give me a free consultation. I told her my goals, and she evaluated me - she was extremely professional and when telling me about what she can do to help it didn't sound like a sales pitch. I genuinely felt like she wanted to help me.. and she did :)

I started working with Jessica in Nov 2011. She was able to offer me a great deal for semi-private training (meaning she would train me & maybe 1,2 or 3 other people at the same time) at a gym location in Covina. I trained with her 2 days a week, 1 hour each time (appt arrangements will be made between you & your trainer). With the strength training and learning how to eat healthy (understanding what my body needs for fuel/meal prepping) I started losing an average of 1lb a week.. I would lose more if I was consistent with working out and eating properly. Before you knew it a few months had passed and I had lost 50lbs... 50lbs!! at that point I realized "Hey... I can do this!" and in the process I felt my heart, mind and body become STRONGER. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't easy... it was hard! But I kept this quote in my head along the way.. "The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results".. If I wanted to feel good, I needed to do something different than what I did to lead myself to gain all that weight. PLUS I learned that cardio isn't the be all end all of exercise, weight training is where it's at!! I barely did any cardio.. but because I was building muscle and eating right - I was losing.

Jessica definitely challenged me in the gym, and because of that I realized I can do things I never thought I'd ever be able to do before.

I continue to train with her because I love the support – she helps you learn and understand what you need to do to be healthy & stay healthy. I turned to her when I was ready to start working on changing my life - I encourage you to stop waiting for that moment when "you're ready" and instead MAKE yourself ready and start investing in yourself. You're not alone in this, it's not going to be easy and you have to make sacrifices - but I promise you, IT WILL BE WORTH IT! And with a trainer like Jessica – the journey will be awesome!!

Jessica is a wonderful trainer!! She was really suportive, motivating and just all around great. I saw many trainers before but Jessica actually got me to my goal. I was so motivated I decided to come a trainer myself. Thanks Jessica!

Thank you Sarah! I'm very happy that I was able to get you to your goal. I'm even happier that I was able to motivate you enough to want to help others with their own health and fitness goals!

Jessica is an awesome trainer! She takes you to task but she listens and helps you develop a program that is truly individualized. I agree she makes the workouts fun and definitely keeps you motivated. She rocks!

Thanks Francina! You are doing a great job with your program so far. Thank you for always pushing through each and every rep/set, and never giving up. I don't mind "mini breaks"! =)

Jessica is a fabulous personal trainer! She keeps you accountable and makes working out fun. She's a great motivator and provides alternatives to help you maximize your workout when you don't feel like you have it in you.

Response by Jessica Gamez on Aug 25, 2011

Thank you Georgia! I had a lot of fun training you! It was your hard work, determination, and great attitude that helped you excel and obtain great results. I'm so amazed and proud of you for going from a "non-runner", to a person that has completed a Half Marathon!
