Leifann Brownstein, MA, PMA®-CPT, enjoys helping others discover the restorative properties of good movement by means of the Pilates method while assisting them in their fitness goals. She discovered her passion for Pilates through the struggle to deal with debilitating back problems. Leifann started practicing Pilates in 2004 and through her Pilates training she found she was able to blend her mind-body practices of martial arts and yoga while gaining amazing strength and alignment from Pilates. Discovering that Pilates has many benefits beyond just the physical self, she strives to share these benefits with others. She completed her mat and equipment teacher training from Pilates Unlimited in June, 2006. Continuing her education, she was nationally certified by the Pilates Method Alliance (PMA) in 2008, and has an additional comprehensive instructor training from Pilates Core Integration as well as being a certified ACE group fitness instructor. Leifann has completed training in the Anat Baniel Method of NeuroMovement and is certified to teach both Transformational Movement Lessons (TML) and Functional Synthesis (FS). Leifann has also completed the Balanced Body Instructor training in both CoreAlign and Bodhi and is certified by the National Posture Institute (NPI) as a Posture Specialist.
