Megan is an accomplished triathlete, cyclist and runner who enjoys coaching the beginner athlete to the Ironman athlete who is trying to find a work/life balance. She works with both women and men who are looking to get fit, reach a goal, work completing a race or just maintain a fitness program

Megan Searfoss is a wife and mother of three daughters; who learned to run because she found it an inexpensive, time saving and mostly MIND saving exercise. Megan began running at age 30 when her oldest daughter was 2; juggling motherhood, a career and everything in between. Challenged by her sister to train for a race (a marathon nonetheless), Megan had no idea that what she was preparing for would change her life forever. The thought of doing something for herself was foreign and seemed selfish; being a wife, mother and having a career left no room for “me” time. Always athletic, Megan had only participated in team sports with an organized practice and coach to tell her what to do. As she trained for her first marathon, Megan devoured everything “running” , coached herself and carbo-loaded her way to constipation before her first race. Lesson #1 learned.
Now more than 20 marathons and countless races ranging from the Ironman World Championships to a hometown 5K , Megan has found that a life with running is when the juggling and unbalance of work/life ends and the opportunity opens for fulfilling all obligations. A certified Personal Trainer, Run, Cycling and Triathlon Coach, Megan started Run Like a Mother, a 5K national race series to encourage women to experience the gift of running as a means to finding balance in their lives. Through simple training programs, practical tips without technical overload, Megan has been successful at converting the naysayer into lifelong runners.
Running has been Megan’s salvation through a time when all three of her daughters and husband were diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease. She learned through her running that testing her body physically strengthened her mentally. It is this reason that coaching other women has been so rewarding; knowing that a strong heart makes a strong mind.
