I am the Head Trainer at the Alaska Club West and Club for Women. Being a combat veteran of the United States Army and competitive boxer, I know the discipline it takes to reach your fitness goals. I take my passion for fitness to another level and look at the training aspects of fitness. Personal training to me is not just “working out” it is TRAINING. We do not workout, we train our bodies to experience the next level of fitness, we train our minds for discipline knowing that our results will show the hard work we put in, we train for a better lifestyle!

    I started working with Rory twice a week in early December 2015. I found her to be very tough!, knowledgeable, grounded, and easy to relate to. Her workouts were challenging but doable. Due to previous injuries, I had areas of weakness that some muscle groups overcompensated for. Rory had the expertise to create a training program that strengthened and toned those areas. The more I worked with Rory the more she challenged me. Slowly, I began to trust the injured part of my body as I regained muscle strength and stability in my ankles and core muscles. Slowly, I began to notice small changes in my body. I no longer needed to visit the chiropractor regularly. I felt better with no body pain and had more energy. People noticed that I looked better and I felt happier too! After Rory left and I started with a new trainer, we took new measurements of my body and low and behold I lost inches in every area. That was my number 1 goal so needless to say I was ecstatic!!! It definitely reenergized me to bring more energy and discipline to my training sessions. Thank you Rory for rekindling the motivation to get in shape and for successfully helping me reach my goals!!

    I have seen Rory twice a week for about two months now. I started personal training in part because I am undisciplined and have habitually eaten poorly (lots of sweets). Those are hard habits to break and, sadly I occassionally chose to sleep in and show up late to my appointments with Rory. When I would show up late, she would still get 30 minutes worth of training in whatever time we had. In the face of my flaccid commitment, Rory has steadfastly shown exceptional professional interest in my well-being. Her passion for my success extends beyond my expectations. She really cares about her clients. With her believing in and challenging me, I have become a better version of myself. Thank you Rory!

    Every training session was a challenge! I'm so pleased with the work that Rory put into helping me achieve my fitness goals. She always pushed me to the limit and responed to my abilities. Throughout our 10 weeks together there was never a dull moment and the exercises were dynamic. Rory truly is a spectacular trainer and I would recommend her to anyone looking to improve their physical fitness. You will not be disappointed!

    My mom and I have been training together with Rory for over a month now. She pushes both of us to do our best and helps us improve the way we work out during every session. She is a very attentive and understanding trainer and I am so happy that my mom and I get to train with her. Even when it feels like it's getting hard or we feel like we're struggling with the work out she reminds us that we are improving and gives just the right amount of encouragement to keep us going. I really appreciate her and hope to continue training with her for as she will have us.

    Rory is hands down. one of the most professional and dedicated trainers I have met and achieved my desired goals under. Her in-depth knowledge of training regimes and dietary restrictions/needs were imperative for me to reach my goals. She pushes you to your limit, then encourages you to achieve a greater threshold of endurance, that not only increases strength, but your self-esteem as well. She has an uncanny knack for not just being a coach, but a counselor as well, because sometimes, you might need an emotional push on top of the physical. Rory is a shining example of Family, Fitness and Dedication to Duty. Rory is the human embodiment of Ohana and really makes each person feel like a member of the family while pushing you to achieve your goals. Her depth of knowledge is unparalleled and she constantly strives to remain current with the latest trends and education, so that all of her clients are successful. I've worked on and off with Rory since 2011, and can call her a mentor and leader!
