Roy received his Performance Enhancement Specialist (PES) from the National Academy of Sports Medicine. This elite training designation for fitness and enhanced athletic performance allows him to work with players at all levels, from the secondary education and university tier, to professional and Olympic level athletes. Roy uses cutting-edge performance assessment techniques while developing sport-specific program design. With more than 17 years of competitive sports under his belt includes being a 4 year full-scholarship basketball player at USC at Aiken. Roy decided at the age of 16 that he would commit his life to exercise and healthy living.
It is his vast knowledge, discipline, passion for health, wellness and sports that makes Remnant Fitness the place for anyone who is seeking to improve overall fitness. Roy received his B.S. in Health & Physical Education from the University of South Carolina at Aiken. He also completed his M.S. in Administration & Supervision from Virginia State University.

    Roy is creative, professional, energetic, and most of all dependable. I have been working with ROY for well over two years. I am not a natural athlete, so my learning curve was steep. Roy took his time and helped me to learn HOW to work out while providing me the challenge and vigor necessary for outstanding results. No workout was ever the same. It felt like each one was tailored for me and what my body needed. Roy is a professional and a person of outstanding character. Though fun, he always maintain appropriate professional conduct. He is a rare gem in this business.

    Intensive, high energy, fun, rigorous, and total body training are just a few words to describe the major workout I receive every time from a session with Roy. He is passionate about health and fitness, and will assist you in meeting your wellness goals. From offering personalized dietary plans to pushing you to burn 1000 calories in a boot camp session, Roy demonstrates his commitment to helping you be your very best. His “out of the box” exercise regimes are so invigorating and CRAZY that you can’t help but to come back for more. I’ve been working with Roy for over 3 years now and I know it was because of those extreme exercises over the years that I have been able to get right back into the swing of things after having a baby. When I hear, “Wow, you don’t even look like you just had a baby”, I often give Remnant Fitness some major credit. I then invite them to join me for a boot camp session on either Tuesday or Saturday mornings. I’m so appreciative of the Remfit family and how the love of God is demonstrated in each session. If you desire to feel good, look your best, and be healthy, then find Roy. He is the real deal!!

    I have been a client of Roy's for almost two years now. As a trainer he is fully engaged in clients' journey to total body fitness, healthy behaviors and nutrition. Each training session and bootcamp includes high intensity interval training methods that are creative and challenging, and engaging for all fitness levels. I continue to be amazed by my personal body and fitness transformation! When I first started to workout with Roy I was dealing with a number of weight related health issues. However after meeting with Roy to develop a fitness plan to help improve my health and fitness I am glad to say after 9 months of working with Roy my doctor was pleased with the improvements in my weight and overall health. He encouraged me to keep up the great work. Whether working one on one or in a bootcamp setting Roy continues to promote an encouraging environment for all. He's definitely a 5-star trainer!!
