New Year New You

How many times have you said to yourself that you are going to make it a goal to be healthier? How many times have you attempted and once you didn't see instant results, you gave up and quit?

Let me ask you this....why? Why are you giving up on yourself before you even begin? Understanding that this process will not happen overnight is your first obstacle to overcome. Knowing that this is not about "losing weight", it's about a lifestyle change is obstacle 2. Most importantly, staying committed will be your BIGGEST obstacle of all.

Look in the mirror, know that you are important and worth the time and get out of your own way to begin the first steps to an exciting journey. Do not do it because it is the beginning of the new year, do it because you are ready to make that change, because you don't want to be unhealthy, because you want to set an example for your children and family and because you are ready!

Baby steps, do not write down a huge goal which will get you discouraged after only a couple of weeks. Write down a small goal and once you have reached it, strive for the next one and then the next one. You have it in you. Get the support and help and take that step......

I'll be waiting for you at the finish line.

Happy New Year to all!!

Charity Benevelli-Zaczek

I had been a runner beginning at the age of 9 years old. After having my son, I had gained over 70lbs. I could not believe that this had happened to me. After hard work and a lot of sweat, I was able to take the weight off and begin right where I left off. Getting caught up with life (working full time, full time student, full time mom among other activities), I had once again packed on the weight and became 35 lbs overweight. Looking in the mirror at myself, I cried and could not believe that once again I had let this happen to me and I didn't have a pregnancy to blame this time. I took a stand! I began working out, eating properly and I became more fit then I had EVER been (yes even as a runner). I then made the promise that this would NEVER happen again. Changing my lifestyle was KEY. Hearing many stories similar to mine, I knew it was time to get out there and help others. I started coaching first and after seeing the successes, I knew that I was making a difference! This was my calling. I am here to help end the trend of obesity, to help others get their self confidence back, show how to live a healthy lifestyle and give everyone the tools that they need to get them where they want and or need to be!
