Want to start your day in a more productive way? Check out these simple tips to help you start and finish your days in order to be more productive each morning:
Upgrade Your Bed -- Is your Sealy, Tempurpedic, or Sleep Number bed too firm, too plush, or too small? If you don't sleep well, you'll be tired and groggy come morning. Upgrade your bed for a good night's sleep, and you'll be much more productive when you're well-rested.
Change the Sheets -- The night before you have a big event, meeting, or deadline, change your sheets. There's nothing like sleeping on clean, fresh sheets, and you'll sleep a whole lot better that night. That better sleep will help you to feel much less tired when you jump out of bed in the morning!
Slow Down Your Evening -- Got a lot of problems on your mind in the evening? Change the pace of what you do to clear the problems off your mind. Don't watch TV, play a game, or read a book, but instead go for a relaxing walk in the moonlight, take a warm bath, or listen to relaxing music.
Keep Your Bed for Sleep -- The TV belongs in the living room, and your bedroom should be a place to sleep and make love - nothing more! If you keep your room for sleep, going into your bedroom will trick your body into shutting down at bed time.
Make It Easy to Wake Up -- Have a hard time getting up in the morning? Place your alarm clock on the other side of the room. Have your alarm clock play loud music. Leave a cup of water on your nightstand to drink when you wake up in the morning. Make it easier on your body to wake up, and you'll jump right into the day more easily.
Eat Right -- Have a small, carb-loaded snack come evening, such as a bowl of oatmeal. Drink a cup of chamomile or valerian root tea, and you'll drift off to sleep in minutes. Eating the right foods can help you to sleep better, and you'll wake up in the morning rested and ready for a productive day.
Try Sleep Music -- There are hundreds of tracks on iTunes that you can download to your iPod to listen to at night, or load any track on YouTube to help you get to sleep more easily. Music is great at not only putting you sleep, but it can provide benefits while you sleep!
Plan Your Day -- There's nothing more stressful than having to face a new day without knowing what you have to accomplish. If you want to be more productive, plan your day beforehand. All you have to do when you wake up is get on with the first task, and the rest of your work will fall into place.
You only have 24 short hours in your day, and you'd be amazed at how quickly they fly by. If you can start the day out productively, you'll be able to accomplish a whole lot more!
