The introduction of Ping Serene

Ping Serene is a line of equipment designed for women golfers, including driver, fairway woods, hybrid/iron blended sets, plus putters.

Serene Driver: The Serene new ping driver incorporates a shaft with a high balance point, which Ping says allows for lengthening the shaft by a half-inch without increasing the swing weight. A longer shaft can help golfers generate more club head speed and, therefore, distance.

The club head is optimized to boost forgiveness, and the clubface is wider along the lower face to help on mis-hits. The Serene driver comes in lofts of 10.5, 12 and 14 degrees, with an MSRP of $310.

Serene Fairway Woods: The club head has a wide profile to help on mis-hits, and an external weight pad adjusts the CG position to give launch angle a boost. The fairways come in 3-wood (18 degrees of loft), 5-wood (22 degrees) and 7-wood (26 degrees), with MSRPs of $220.

Serene Irons/Hybrids: The irons and hybrids can be purchased separately, allowing golfers to create their own set configuration blending the two clubs. The hybrids are high-launch, moderate-spin, with sole relief to help from a variety of lies, and come in 4H, 5H and 6H. The ping golf irons are wide-soled with deep CG positions to help with launch angle, and come in 5-9, plus pitching wedge, sand wedge and lob wedge.

The MSRP for each hybrid is $185, and for each iron $117.50.
