This is my first attempt at writing something so I chose to start with some of my favorite dishes that will serve your health well.
I like to use the seasons to guide my meals so i look for the freshest ingredients to start with. I try to stick with whole organic wild foods if available and that typically is called a hunter/gatherer diet, nothing comes in a package. This way I know for sure my meals are "clean" so to speak.
As for the season, it is Fall and fish here in the Northwest are the best in the world, (my opinion of course). So the choices are abundant from Halibut to mackerel, which, by the way, is some of the best for your omegas......anyway if you can think of it, the Puget Sound and the Pacific Ocean will have it. I try to find local fishermen to source from to encourage responsible fishing practices because we all have heard that certain species are threatened on a daily basis. If you don't like fish that's ok, you probably haven't had it prepared to your style of eating and therefore not had the right flavoring. I like to try new ways of preparing old meals, I always seem to surprise myself and discover a new spice or oil to enhance the meals. It is so refreshing when you find new spice of the week, mine this month was smoked paprika. I must have put it on everything including the fish. Anyway, in closing, I plan to post a few recipes in the coming weeks or so as I remember that I have a blog now so see ya next time
