A simple, yet effective way to calm yourself in the midst of stress. A useful tool in times when you feel your heart pounding and your NOT exercising! Next time you are feeling anxious, out of control or just plain overwhelmed.....stop and breathe! If you aren't driving or operating machinery, close your eyes. : ) Fill your lungs with air and slowly release it all. Repeat several times. Take a moment to notice how you feel.
