We have already talked about the benefits of drinks based on protein supplements. In fact there are two very different types of drinks that can be used to increase the amount of protein in your diet:
1. Protein drinks without the extra calories, except those contained in the protein.
2. Drinks for those who need to gain weight, containing a lot of extra calories in addition to those contained in the protein.
If you read the labels on the two different products, you can easily notice the difference. Pure protein drink 27 grams of protein powder, dissolved in water, artificial sweetener, contains 108 calories.
On the other hand, a variety of drinks designed to increase weight, contains the same amount of protein, but loaded with fat and carbohydrates, so if you mix it with whole milk, as recommended by the instructions, one portion will be 2,000 calories!
Clearly, you need to understand the difference when making a choice in favor of a particular product. In my career bodybuilder, when there was such a variety of protein supplements and shakes, as now, I always preferred to mix the drinks themselves. So, I knew their nutritional value and represented what benefits can get from them.
I started to mix protein drinks from age 15, but then I was not able to get the protein powder, which is now sold everywhere. Instead, I mixed in a thermos of ingredients such as milk powder, eggs and honey, and then took him to school or to work. I drank about half of the 10 in the morning between breakfast and lunch, and the other half - about 3 o'clock.
