The Reason I work at Lakeshore Foundation:
Working at Lakeshore Foundation has been the most rewarding place I have ever worked. At age 62 it is such an inspiration to see clients and members with challanges and watching them work so hard over coming those challanges. Some are amazingly healthy and strong and only are working on balance issues. Others are in wheelchairs, or dealing with rehap from a stroke. Every one of "us" have something we are challanged with. Our choice is "get better or get bitter". At Lakeshore I see those who chose to "get better:" Check out who we are: lakeshore.org
To improve the lives of people with physical disability around the world.
To enable people with physical disability and chronic health conditions to lead healthy, active and independent lifestyles through physical activity, sport, recreation and research.
I just make an exercise video for Specal Caring Friends at the Botanical Gardens. Al Bonfield is the owner and I am so impressed with what he is doing. He is meeting a need for our ageing parents.
As us Baby Boomers are ageing and continue to work at staying fit, we also are made aware that our parents have many needs. So many of their needs we are unable to met. We want the best for them and that is why Special Caring Friends is an alterative to nurseing homes.
I hope you check out their web site at specialcaringfriends.com
