Be very wary of claims that say "the best way" or 'the latest way" or "the fastest way" to get in shape and loss weight. Truth is everyone is genetically different and our bodies respond differently to different training and nutrition protocols.
For example, to get lean I need more high intensity cardio. However weights, burn more calories and put on lean mass. Me, not so much It may be different for you.
There are many ways to skin a cat.( Don't you love analogies?) Or get results. Once you find YOUR way, stick with it.
