DO you have a bike just sitting in your garage? WHy not dust it off and take a ride. Its relaxing, yet a great workout, and you control the intensity. I went for a bike ride with my husband along the trinity river on saturday, and it was a nice way to spend time together in a healthy way.
Speaking of spending time together with friends and family, how about trying to do somethng actve, and not center all get togethers around eating. Or, first something active, a walk, bike ride, swim, meet for bowling, whatever... then a light meal..
And try water with meals, to increase your H2o intake.

Trying something new is a way to eat a more balanced diet, and perhaps find a new favorite. Since I have moved to Texas, I have been able to buy jicama, and I like to cut it up and put it in my salad for some extra crunch.
Trying new foods adds variety to your diet. Instead of focusingon removing foods, why not think of ADDING more nutritious foods to your diet.
Also, try adding some lemon or lime to your water for some extra flavor?
Hope you try these tips!

All right, we know we are going to be putting on bathing suits very soon! Not to worry, you can start making changes right now, to feel more confident in your summer clothes. Start by adding in more vegetables to your diet, along with plenty of water, perhaps with lemon.
Try taking some brisk walks, or even a jog if you are comfortable with the intensity. The important thing is to MOVE. Invest in some dumbbells, and look up some exercises on the internet. Buddy up with a friend, it helps make you accountable, plus it's fun! Or, try ivesting in some personal training sessions to make sure your form is correct, and to get the most from your workout time.
Small steps, one at a time, add up to building healthy habits for a lifetime!
