 I attended my first IDEA pti EAST Conference this past weekend and was thrilled to learn from and work out with industry leaders Todd Durkin, Rodney Corn, Pete Holman, Fraser Quelsh, Shannon Fable, Fabio Comana, Mitch Batkin, Len Kravitz, Hayley Hollander and Pete McCall. The lectures were chock full of new and exciting ideas, as well as tried and true methodology, and were beyond inspiring. Todd Durkin’s “Blueprint for Success” was inspirational and fun and the takeaway from that session was huge.

. 1. Core stability and hip mobility drive almost all that we do has human beings. Google both and see how many hits come out on both. Eye opening. 2. Our pulling muscles are more imporant than our pushing muscles. How many people have you seen bench pressing heavy weight but they cannot do a chin up/pullup? Can you say injury waiting to happen!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 3. Fitness is a journey not a destination. We cannot get there and stop. You have to keep going. Keep moving.

Just what is metabolism? Your metabolism is the process by which your body converts food into energy and then puts that energy to use. You need energy for rigorous activities like jogging or biking, but you also need those calories to fuel bodily processes such as breathing and keeping your heart beating.
