"Wild Woman Marathon" will be held July 16th in Troutlake Washington in Mt. Adams area. This is one cool foot race. It can be done individually or in teams. This team(Sandra, Alanna, Orlanda) is back for a 2nd time! Two members, Sandra and Orlanda, are also clients of mine. They always give it their all in my studio or out on the trail! Go gals!

Frosty 5K and Merry Mile Have Frisco Getting Ready to RunNothing proves that you’ve been taking your fitness goals seriously like competing in a race, and if you live in the Frisco region, your next chance is coming up in just a couple of weeks.The Frosty 5K and Merry Mile will be held on December 12th. If you’re not familiar with this event, it’s broken into two components. First, there is the Merry Mile race, which begins at 8:00 a.m. Then half an hour later, the Frosty 5K takes off.

Many athletes take ibuprofen before, during or after exercise to help relieve muscle soreness and to assist in muscle recovery.  I have often overheard athletes jokingly referring to ibuprofen as "Vitamin I" in the ultrarunning community as they swear by the drug's pain reducing effects.  But just how beneficial or safe is the over-the-counter drug during exercise?
