The determination on this client of mine is like nothing ive ever seen! She came to me wanting to lose weight and tone up... I had no idea how much she would actually put into it but I was ready to run if she was.Day one came and it wasnt looking good... barely a 20 second plank (on the forearms) and 20 squats and she had taken a seat.3 months later..She has bought 3 new pairs each one 2 sizes smaller than the last.She flips 500lb tires.She can do L sits on the parallel bars and is well on her way to doing pullups.

One of the more annoying, yet common myths in the fitness world is that you can "spot train" muscles. Not only is it not possible, it shows how highly uneducated some people are with exercising, yet these people keep "educating" people on how to train.  Under education is a huge problem in our industry, and spot training is the perfect example of that lack of knowledge.   Targeting the "Lower" Abs or the "tear drop" in the Quads, are two of my favorite that people will try over and over to spot train.

 I attended my first IDEA pti EAST Conference this past weekend and was thrilled to learn from and work out with industry leaders Todd Durkin, Rodney Corn, Pete Holman, Fraser Quelsh, Shannon Fable, Fabio Comana, Mitch Batkin, Len Kravitz, Hayley Hollander and Pete McCall. The lectures were chock full of new and exciting ideas, as well as tried and true methodology, and were beyond inspiring. Todd Durkin’s “Blueprint for Success” was inspirational and fun and the takeaway from that session was huge.
