We are approaching our country's Independence Day celebration and with it it brings smells and sounds.  Summer brings a sense of freedom from wearing extra layers like in the fall and winter seasons but also to take in the smells of grilling, fire pit, beach and pool. My eyes enjoy the brightness in the beauty of flowers and the green grass, especially being in the Midwest and seeing everything turn brown/gray as the season changes. Enjoy celebrating the 4th as well as all the wonderful smells of summer!

In the Summer, I spend more time outside. Colorado is sunny and beautiful all year. I like to bike to the pool and take a dip in the outdoor swimming pool, which is just a few blocks from my house. I can't resist the diving board or the slide! My legs, arms and core get a super duper workout. Yoga in the park is one of my favorite things to do. It's a free event 2 times a month with about 700 plus people. The instructors are great and I get to do a different yoga style each time. Its an exhilarating experience. The DJ's and music get me energized!

Spring time marks the time where energy comes back up to the surface and new growth surges. This is no more true than in Wisconsin where we will be come out of hibernation to soak up the first sunny day and everyone there after. It amazes me how good the first 40° day feels in Spring when it nearly shuts me down in the Fall.

By all appearances, spring has finally sprung. Even though the winter in Raleigh, NC, can hardly be called severe when compared to some other parts of the nation but it seemed to go on longer that it ought to have.
