Sheila Cave is an incredible trainer. She takes the time to know each client personally and how best to motivate and help each of us succeed. She understands how to push each of us toward our fitness goals without risking injury. She ensures we use correct form and varies workouts to avoid overuse and injury. She works well with both women and men, young and older and at all levels of fitness. Sheila is also a lot of fun!

I have been working with Sheila for almost 15 years. She has taken me through middle age and beyond, with a focus on fitness, health, nutrition and mindfulness. Sheila leads by example and is always the first to say "we can do it!" When I began with her, I was 20 overweight, did little exercise, and had never run in my life. Within a year we did the Avon 60 mile three-day event, followed by signing up for the Marine Corps Marathon ("all we need to do is get a little speed now!") in October 2001...And you can only imagine what it was like to accomplish running 26.1 miles in the Nation's Capital right after Sept. 11th. I would never have believed I would be run a marathon, not once but again the next year, which could not have been accomplished without the training, support, and encouragement Sheila provided. She personifies the best in personal training and fitness/lifestyle coaching! --Sharon

Sheila is an incredible trainer, coach, friend and motivator! Life can get hectic and wear down our self control. Sheila is the voice that helps you keep your commitments to your goals of exercise and healthy eating in a way that is encouraging and also practical. I appreciate how she trains me to think about how I will order my dinner when I go to a restaurant hours before I actually arrive so the decision is already made in my head! Sheila is also well trained in injury recovering and has helped with hip and leg issues.
She is outstanding in every area of her work and is extremely dedicated and knowledgeable! Her sense of humor makes every workout so much fun!

I have had personal trainers in gyms before. In fact, I have gone through quite a few. At first things would be going well. Eventually, there would be distractions of the noisy gym, other members asking for help or the trainer being side-tracked just by all of the stimuli that a public gym has to offer. When you are with Sheila it is all about you. You are one on one in the large workout room she has at her own house. No distractions. Sheila leads you on a path of self-discovery. She understands that it is your individual journey and she is your educated, compassionate and empathetic guide. When you travel off your path she leads you back with the how, when, where, who and what that led you astray. No recriminations, just questions for your own acknowledgment so that perhaps the next time the path will be clearer for you and the side roads less tempting.
I see Sheila for a healthier lifestyle change. Sheila sees other clients for a variety of other reasons such as training for a marathon, helping to develop an exercise program after coming back from an injury or perhaps the opportunity to make one's workout interesting and diversified. What ever your goals might be, if it involves health along with physical and emotional fitness, Sheila is a great companion for your journey. - Marcia

I had personal trainers many times before in a gym setting before I started working with Sheila in 2013. They would be distracted by others being asked how a machine worked, talking to someone they knew in the gym or just all of the stimuli that a gym has to offer. Sheila's setting in her own gym with just the two of you is invaluable. She is empathetic, knowledgeable and insightful. When you are with her it is all about you…no distractions. She encourages you to think about your whole life, not just food choices or exercise. The who, when, where, why and how when you go down a side road are questions she asks to help you get back on the main road to better health. I love to work out but I must say it is also work to go on the emotional exploration to better health as well. One could not have a better companion than Sheila to accompany you on your journey.- Marcia
