Now with over twenty-two years as a fitness professional, Felesha teaches health and physical education as a professor at Spelman College. She also teaches women how to reclaim their power through Meditation, Yoga, Fitness and Ayurveda principles. This passion, along with two rocky marriages inspired her to author “A Brave Leap to Freedom.” This, her first self help book, identifies toxic relationships and offers empowering information to help people reclaim their personal power.
Felesha created MySpiritFitness Management Group, LLC to provide continuing education for professionals, community, and students. She has written three self help books and has provided countless lectures and workshops for colleges and businesses. The core of her work revolves around powerful fitness and stress skills to promote work/fife balance. Felesha has a MBA from Walden University and is a Vedic Master Student at Chopra University. In 2006, she wrote weekly fitness editorials entitled “Felesha’s Fitness Tips” on KISS 104’s website and was later featured in the July 2006 edition of the Atlanta Sports & Fitness Magazine, (p.17).
Felesha graduated from Lindenwood University with a bachelor degree in Mass Communications and immediately began working in the radio broadcasting industry. She quickly discovered that she would need a healthy way to reduce enormous stress. In the early 1990’s Felesha became a nationally certified personal trainer and fitness instructor through the American Council on Exercise (ACE). In 1996, she became a part of a global tribe of elite instructors certified through Les Mills International, the world's largest group fitness company. She taught packed fitness classes for some of Atlanta’s largest health clubs teaching Kickboxing, Step Aerobics, Yoga, Strength training and Aqua Aerobics classes.
