have always lived what is considered an active lifestyle. As long as I can remember I have been in organized sports and/or weightlifting. I was a successful football player and wrestler throughout middle and high school. I stayed active in college playing intramural sports and weight training. After college while I stayed somewhat active I did find the challenge of working 60+ hours a week pushed my workouts to the back burner. Through the years my fitness declined and I slowly gained weight. In December 2010 I made a decision to commit to a complete lifestyle change and became truly active and healthy once again. The first race I completed was a “Warrior Dash” in May 2011 and since then I have dropped over 40 pounds and consistently compete and place in the top 5 of my age group in 5k to ultramarathon road and trail races. I consistently place in the top 5-10% in Spartan sprint, Xterra dualathon, barbarian challenge and various obstacle races. I run 2-3 days a week with my 7-year-old female black lab Millie and train 3 days a week with a high intensity “crossfit” workout. I look forward to the opportunity to help anyone ready to change to a truly active and healthy lifestyle.
