It took me a while to realize my goal of working full-time in the Fitness Industry, despite having a lifelong passion for human drive. I grew up competing in gymnastics with grips & chalk embedded in my hands since before I could walk. When I did watch tv, it was fitness gear infomercials and as I grew older, NBC’s The Biggest Loser quickly became appointment television. An active lifestyle and strong upbringing resulted in my joining the U.S. Army while finishing my Bachelor’s Degree at WMU. I elected to remain on reserve status and served Military Intelligence while fostering a 7-year civilian career in Broadcast. It turns out that my path of media was paving the way to fitness and through my positions as Marketing Director of WRBL (Columbus, GA) and Brand Manager at WCBD News 2 (Charleston, SC), I learned an insurmountable amount about human connections, public relations and branding. I left TV in 2012 and pursued a personal goal of becoming a Personal Coach & Trainer while training to compete in Body Building. I quickly found a deep level of joy through inspiring & motivating others. This may sound odd, but I didn’t know that I could make a living just by being myself. When I realized that, my client roster quickly capped out at 50+ and my deep desire to reach more led to my becoming the Director of Fitness at Pivotal Fitness (Charleston, SC). True health and happiness will always win out over car-dealership-style gym sales. It’s my mission to connect (truly connect) with and encourage as many people as possible, individuals and gym owners alike. CrossFit raises the bar in the Fitness Industry and challenges Trainers & Coaches to further their education, which leads to a higher quality of life… for not only the Athletes but the Coaches and the entire Community. Random Facts I will challenge anybody, any time, to a rifle or pistol shooting competition. and I will win. I was the 1st Chair Wind Symphony Flutist in High School and still play.
